J.K. Rowling's screenwriting debut is captured in this exciting hardcover edition of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them screenplay.

When Magizoologist Newt Scamander arrives in New York, he intends his stay to be just a brief stopover. However, when his magical case is misplaced and some of Newt's fantastic beasts escape, it spells trouble for everyone…

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them marks the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling, author of the beloved and internationally bestselling Harry Potter books. Featuring a cast of remarkable characters, this is epic, adventure-packed storytelling at its very best.

Whether you're an existing fan or new to the wizarding world, this is a perfect addition to any reader's bookshelf.

Why I'm waiting on this one!

  1. The screenplay aspect doesn't interest me too much but the magical characters are what really has me intrigued. And it's a plus that it's coming out around the holidays as it will make a great Christmas gift. Hope you love it and thanks for stopping by my blog!

    1. Hi, Barb!

I will read ANYTHING Rowling writes that's related to the Harry Potter world!! Not interested in her other, adult stuff. So I really don't mind the screenplay format. After all, I own "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child". I even went to the midnight release party, at my local Barnes & Noble. (And I went in costume, too!)

Yes. it's GREAT that this coming out close to Christmas! I will do my best to attend this midnight release party, as well!!

You're very welcome for my visit!! Thanks for leaving such a nice comment!! :)

  2. I have never read any of her books but my daughter has and she became addicted to her Harry Potter books and movies. This is a book she would love getting her hands on.

    1. Hi, Freddie!

I've read up to the middle of Book 6, where I stopped because something very sad took place....Now I'm re-reading the entire series, so I can then go on to "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child". I hope to be able to finish the series this time around!

I LOVE the Harry Potter books, and the movies, as well!!

Thanks for dropping by and commenting!! :)

  4. Awesome choice. I will admit however that even though I'm an avid reader I have not read any of her books. My 12 year old son & I have started buying the Harry Potter series to read together.
